A year of growth and firsts
2025 was the year Sustainability Today went from concept to reality. We launched the FSC CoC group certification scheme and ended the year with 12 active members — wood industry companies in Romania that chose group certification as an accessible and efficient solution.
What we achieved in 2025
- 12 companies certified in the FSC CoC group by year end
- First group audit successfully completed by Bureau Veritas
- Digital platform launched — automatic traceability with SUMAL 2.0 integration
- All audits passed with no major NCRs opened or outstanding
Digital platform
One of the achievements we are most proud of is our digital traceability platform with SUMAL 2.0 integration. Group members benefit from automatic data synchronization, audit report generation and digital material balance — no physical files or Excel spreadsheets.
Early 2026
In the first months of 2026, the group grew rapidly to over 20 members. We also launched Romania first PEFC CoC group certification — a national first. Four visionary companies chose to take this historic step with us.
Plans going forward
We are focused on growing the group, developing the digital platform and preparing members for EUDR requirements. Group certification remains the most accessible path for wood industry SMEs to obtain FSC and PEFC certification.
