Accelerated growth in 2025
The year 2025 was the strongest year for the group certification scheme operated by Sustainability Today. We ended the year with over 200 FSC and PEFC certified companies active in the group, a 40% growth compared to 2024.
Geographic distribution
Members come from 22 counties, with the highest concentration in traditional forestry regions: Suceava (32 companies), Harghita (24 companies), Maramures (19 companies), Neamt (17 companies) and Bacau (14 companies). We also expanded coverage in Transylvania and Oltenia, especially for secondary processing companies and traders.

- Forestry/logging: 78 companies
- Primary processing (sawmills): 56 companies
- Secondary processing: 34 companies
- Furniture production: 22 companies
- Timber trading: 18 companies
Audit results
Annual audits performed by accredited bodies (Preferred by Nature, Bureau Veritas) confirmed full group compliance. Only 3% of members received minor observations, all resolved within 30 days.
EUDR readiness
All group members benefit from our EUDR preparation modules, including geolocation coordinate collection, SUMAL integration and automatic submission to TRACES. By the end of 2025, 87% of members had a complete EUDR file ready for the official 2026 enforcement.
Plans for 2026
For 2026 we aim to reach 300 active members, launch new packages dedicated to furniture companies and extend geolocation support with direct integration to the European Commission API.
